In the independent third-party certification and audit sector, managing verifications requires methodological rigor, traceability, and the ability to operate across different standards. Auditors collect evidence, evaluate compliance or alignment, and produce structured reports.
Support tools must therefore facilitate documentation activities—both remotely and in the field—ensure consistency between different audits, and allow for systematic monitoring of findings.
The starting point was clear: a tool was needed that could simplify the auditors’ work without limiting their flexibility.
Specifically, RINA needed to:
A significant aspect concerned operational autonomy, with the possibility for the team to create and manage checklists directly without depending on external technical interventions.
Audit Manager was introduced as a SaaS solution with the goal of centralizing and streamlining the entire audit process while maintaining the flexibility necessary to adapt to RINA’s various services.
The platform allows for planning and scheduling activities, supports auditors in completing checklists via the app—with the ability to attach evidence directly in the field—and enables the structured management of findings through to their closure.
A distinctive element of the project was the level of customization.
Audit reports for ESG and ISO activities were developed using RINA’s existing templates, preserving current logic and formats. Specifically, for ESG audits, evaluation methodologies and reports enriched with graphs and indicators were implemented for immediate and in-depth result interpretation.
This approach made it possible to integrate Audit Manager into existing processes, avoiding operational discontinuity and facilitating adoption by auditors.
The introduction of Audit Manager led to a concrete improvement in the daily activities of auditors regarding the services managed by the platform.
